Chocolate Hills - Bohol
Down south on the island province of Bohol rise 1269 perfectly cone shape hills that are green when rains and brown when the weather is dry. In local folklore these are either the dried tears of sorrow that turned into mounds or the result of a battle between two fighting giants, but to the traveler these are the magnificent Chocolate Hills of Bohol. Spread over the three municipalities of Carmen, Batuan and Sagbayan these cone shaped mounds of various sizes from 30 to 50 meters, with the largest rising over 120 meters, scatter the landscape and make an alluring view.
The hills are lush green during the rainy seasons as the grass grows on them and then turn brown during the summer months earming its moniker as the "Chocolate Hills". - One of the wonders of Paradise Philippines.
