Getting to know Boracay in Paradise Philippines
The beach front of Boracay, one of the best white sand beaches in the world is 7km long and 1km wide at its narrowest point is the ideal place to laze around if you have the time. Dotted along this wonderful island are villages locally called barangays with the largest ones being Balaba, Mano-Manoc and Yapak, which are home to the local inhabitants who live and work on the many resorts of Boracay. Much of the island is accessible through a network of rather confusing pathways between the villages and hamlets but all leading to the pristine white sand beaches for which this island is famous for, particularly near Balabag on the west coastline which has a very beautiful beach of very fine white sand.
The beach front in Balabag has a shallow waterline and ideal for just walking around the beach or for sun bathing. For deeper waters ideal for snorkeling, the east cost is the place to go although you should be aware of the rips that are in the area. Many other sandy bays are scattered throughout the island and if you ever tire of the magnificent white beaches then this is a very good alternative. North of White beach is Diniwid beach which is more relaxing and peaceful compared to White beach due less number of tourists, and the cost of accommodation here is relatively much lower.
Activities on the Island
If lazing around is your cup of tea, then there is no place you'd rather be. Where else in the world could wake up late in the morning, have a cup of coffee or breakfast while staring out at the sea and the beautiful white sand beach, then when you feel the urge, get up and enjoy many of the different activities. Some of the activities you can do while you spend a bum's life on the island is to :
Lay on the beach (under the sun or a beach umbrella)
Go sailing or even windsurfing
Take a Kit surfing adventure
Have a boat ride around the island
Go snorkeling or just swim around
Walk around and gather Puka shells
There are more day activities that you could get yourself into, it's all just up to you if it interests your curiosity enough to do them. Activities at night are just as interesting, with nightly parties on many of the resorts that you can just walk into, with some of them charging a fee to get in or you could just walk around and enjoy the cool night breeze from the sea.
Whatever it is you want to do, you can pretty much do it on Boracay which is the quintessential Pacific island paradise. So if a glimpse of paradise and a lazy life is what you need then pack your bags or simply just a shirt and pair of shorts, and take the trip over to Boracay in the islands of Paradise Philippines.
