You can then take a ferry from Bari to Patras in Greece. This is the fastest and easiest way to travel from London to Greece without taking a plane.

If you don't like the idea of taking a ferry then there is a way to complete this journey completely by train. You need to take a train from London and you will go through Brussels, Vienna, Cologne, Budapest, and Bucharest. This journey will take about two days but will allow you to enjoy some stunning scenery.

Why Take the Train?

You might wonder why you would want to bother taking an overland or sea journey. The reason is simply that the journey is much more pleasant. Modern overnight trains are very comfortable and you can enjoy a great restaurant aboard your ferry.
